Easter is one of the central holidays, or Holy Days, of Christianity. It honors the Resurrection of Jesus three days after His death by crucifixion. For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful conclusion to the Lenten season of devoted prayer, fasting, and penitence.
Along with the Nativity of Christ, Easter is one of the most important celebrations in the Christian calendar. It is when Christians glorify and give thanks for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. After His crucifixion, death, and burial, Christ rose from the grave three days later. By this, He conquered death and redeemed us from sin.
Why Do Christians Celebrate Easter?

The significance of Easter is Jesus Christ's triumph over death. His resurrection means the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The purpose of Easter also means the full confirmation of all that Jesus taught and preached during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead or simply died and not been resurrected, He would have been thought of as just another teacher or prophet. However, His resurrection rebuked all that and provided final and undeniable proof that He was the Son of God and that He had overcome death once and for all.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the core of the Christian gospel. Saint Paul says that if Christ is not raised from the dead, then our preaching and hope are in vain (1 Cor. 15:14). Certainly, without the resurrection, there would be no Christian preaching or faith. The apostles of Christ would have continued as the disheartened group, which the Gospel of John depicts as being in hiding for fear of the Jews. They were in total despair until they met the risen Christ (John 20:19). Then they touched Christ's wounds of the nails and the spear; they ate and drank with Him. The resurrection became the foundation of everything they said and did
“...for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have” (Luke 24:39).
The resurrection affirms Jesus of Nazareth as the prophesied Messiah of Israel and the King and Lord of a new Jerusalem: a new heaven and a new earth.

What does Easter Mean to you?
When I think of easter I see a loving father who came as a man with a loving caring pure heart for people he knew would turn away or continue to sin for people who would try to kill him and he still chose to do it anyway, he chose to limit himself and taught us how to love how to be kind and caring how to bring peace when things feel dark and hopeless, how to feel loved, how we should be loved.
To teach us even through the storms and trials people will come and go, but he will be with us until the end and forever more he taught us to trust and rely on him.
Easter isn't just a remembrance of what he did for one day but for every day he taught us truth he continues to show us the way even when we let him down. Most people would walk away but not him not our one and only Jesus Christ our lord and savior he keeps his promise so we need to keep ours pick up our crosses and follow him now and forever.
Thank you Jesus for never leaving us for always forgiving us and picking us up when we fall, thank you for bringing us unexplainable peace and joy thank you for teaching and guiding us, thank you for showing us what a family should be and that we need to be together thank you for you
Thank you for the gift of the holy spirit that we get to keep every day to help guide, comfort, strengthen and discipline us in a loving way you gift us and bless us in so many ways.
May God bless you and keep you and wrap his loving arms around you and let's continue this walk with God together. For he is risen he is on the throne and one day we will be united as one. Bee

Easter means so much to me it is a time of remembrance that Jesus has risen and conquered the sin that held him on the cross.
An empty cross and an empty grave, holds hope and promise. I love how the holiday comes after a cold dead winter. This is our sign that our Savior is showing that in him we have a new beginning. Tracey

I cry every time i think of what He's done for me, for us. His mercy, love and compassion. Thank you Jesus, my Living Hope!

Easter celebrates Passover, this festival was celebrated due to when the Hebrews in Egypt painting there door frames in blood, so the plague of God passed over those homes and killed the first born Egyptian males as punishment to Pharo. Not only that but Jesus was also crucified on Good Friday, by his blood we are also saved where his blood protects us and evil passed over those who prayed for protection in Jesus blood and name. AJ
Easter to me is the three days which Jesus endured; Stripes and Crucifixion Death and resurrection. For our debts and sins to be forgiven.

Easter represents the possibility of new life and forgiveness through Jesus' sacrifice. It signifies new beginnings and a time when families come together.
